I never said it would be easy.

I never said it would be easy.  I said it would be worth it.

I have heard that quote over and over through the years, and always unattributable.  So to whomever said it first, thank you.  Fridays I tend to let loose, and this one, despite it being strongly worded, despite it being harsh, despite everything, embodies what I often want to tell people.  I tell them how I got to where I am and they tell me why they can’t do the same thing.  I tell them what I do, and they tell me why it doesn’t fit their lifestyle.  Well guess what.  It didn’t fit mine either.  I wasn’t in good shape when I started, had a bum ankle and had to be careful running in January on icy streets in Toronto with people on my route that sometimes didn’t shovel.  I had to push, and grunt, and sweat. It was never easy.

Whoever created this graphic, they summed it up better than I ever could.  Sometimes, I mean every single word of what is being said here.
